- 1 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips (for later)
- 1 tsp oil or cooking spray, for skillet
Stir all of your ingredients together (except for chocolate chips). Grease a cast iron skillet (or you could use any skillet) with oil or cooking spray. Heat up pan to medium heat for one minute. Add in your granola and press down in an even layer.
Let granola cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally so that all of it gets cooked and doesn’t burn. Turn heat down to medium low if browning too fast. Remove from heat and let cool in pan for at least 20 minutes. Add in chocolate chips once cooled or else they will melt.
